Who We Are

Pedal Capital is a private real estate investment partnership that acquires and actively manages multifamily projects throughout the Western United States. In an effort to provide consistent, risk-adjusted returns to investors, Pedal Capital seeks assets which deliver stable, long-term cash flow with potential for capital appreciation. Pedal Capital is committed to executing on this strategy by investing equity alongside its capital partners.

Ben Murray – PrincipalBen has eight years of real estate experience and was most recently the Director of Acquisitions for Brixton Capital, a private equity real estate firm based in Solana Beach, CA specializing in multifamily and retail properties. He participated in over $1 billion of acquisitions, $300+ million of dispositions, and was responsible for sourcing and executing on strategic opportunities for the portfolio. He worked in multiple departments as an Asset Manager and Operations Analyst prior to his role as Director of Acquisitions.

Ben studied at the University of San Diego and earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance in 2011 in addition to a Master of Science in Real Estate in 2014. Ben lives in Flagstaff, AZ with his wife and is involved in the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He enjoys all things outdoor related, including mountain biking, hiking and exploring new trail.

Joe Bothe – PrincipalJoe has over a decade of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions and finance. His professional experience has included acquisitions roles at two prominent real estate private equity firms, Brixton Capital and Fairfield Residential. While at these companies, Joe participated in the sourcing and underwriting of over $750 million in multifamily investment opportunities throughout the Western United States. Prior to his real estate private equity experience, Joe spent 3 years at Wells Fargo Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group where he was involved in the underwriting and management of over $1 billion in financing to institutional real estate clientele. In addition to his aforementioned experience, Joe has invested in and operated numerous service-based businesses with an emphasis on those that service commercial real estate.

Joe studied at the University of San Diego where he earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Finance. He lives in Salida, CO and enjoys everything outdoors including mountain biking, fly fishing, backpacking, snowboarding, and surfing.

Pedal Capital is focused on acquiring multifamily projects which provide value-add opportunities through capital renovations, occupancy stabilization, and active asset management. Additional investment criteria include:
